Our residents eagerly share what it is they love about living here. It’s a combination of many things – the living options, the amenities, the activities, and mostly, the people.

Nature right outside your door
We have a treasure-trove of flora and fauna here in the Blue Ridge Mountains and it’s a favorite photography subject for many of our residents.
You’ll find breathtaking photographs of the birds, butterflies, and flowers, plus some beautiful winter scenes. Many of our residents are avid gardeners as well as shutterbugs sharing everything from spring daffodils to an ice-covered maple leaf. Sunsets also seem to be a favorite photo subject and we have quite a collection.
Kendal at Lexington is part of Lexington, and you can get an armchair tour of the downtown there too. The downtown is a charming mix of art, dining, and history.
Activities at Kendal
Finally, you’ll see our residents in action, whether it’s playing a musical instrument, painting, gardening, or sewing – everyone is enjoying life and the comfortable lifestyle of living at Kendal at Lexington. From the special programs in the auditorium, one of our “Kendal College” classes and beyond offers constant opportunities for enrichment and fulfillment in our active community.
