Take a tour of Kendal at Lexington’s gorgeous campus grounds.
Kendal at Lexington offers 150 apartments and cottages, ranging from 550 to 2,000 square feet. Residences may include such amenities as high ceilings, a sunroom, fireplace, garage, hardwood floors throughout and custom appliances.
The Anderson Center
The Anderson Center houses an exceptional fitness center and indoor heated pool, as well as the main dining room, Restaurant and Café, an auditorium, library, and meeting spaces. Webster Assisted Living apartments and the Benjamin Borden Health Care Center are directly on campus.
The beautifully restored Sunnyside House, circa 1800, serves as a guest house for visitors and an entertainment and meeting venue for residents.
We are a nonprofit life plan community that offers a wellness-focused, resident-driven lifestyle for independent living. When needed, Kendal’s Borden Center and Webster Center provides person-centered care for memory support, assisted living and nursing care.

Resident Stories
Meet Paul & Lee
Lee is a 3rd generation Kendal resident, her grandmother and mother also lived in Kendal communities. She and her husband Paul sought out the best Kendal for their needs.
Meet Winifred
Winifred felt welcome from the minute she started unpacking boxes. With new friends and adventures, Kendal at Lexington is her “happy place.”
Meet Pat
Pat and her husband were tired of dealing with the roof, furnace and other maintenance problems in their former home. Solution: They love their worry-free Kendal cottage.
Meet Don
Don, a former teacher, found his Kendal niche in planning and performing in cultural events. He appreciates knowing that he will transition through life in the same community.
Programs and Activities
Classes, Committee Work, Creative Spaces—Kendal at Lexington offers residents opportunities to do as much or as little as they want each and every day.
Residents themselves drive what happens here.
A strong Residents’ Association and committees—with input from all—plan events, manage budgets, and impact decision-making across the community.
Resident committees include, but are not limited to, Horticulture, Culture and Entertainment, Library, Interior Decorating and Resident Council.
Residents choose from these activities and more. And when they have an idea for something new, they make it happen.
