Meet Clint Ayers: Culinary Manager

Ice Cream!

You never outgrow the delight of ice cream, and at Kendal’s Anderson Center dining room the full-service ice cream station is back in full swing.

That’s just one of the developments residents can thank new Culinary Manager Cint Ayers for.

Clint is not new to the Kendal at Lexington community. He began at the Borden Center as a dietary aide and completed his certification as a Dietary Manager from the University of North Dakota. From there, he served in a dietary supervisory role until transitioning to his new role as Culinary Manager.

The 31-year-old native of Rockbridge County confesses a weakness for buying shoes he doesn’t need and his fondness for sharing delicious food. In his off hours he also cooks with Hog Back Mountain BBQ from spring through fall. He enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and especially his two dogs, Willow and Stella.

Clint’s new role means he is involved in every aspect of operations in Culinary while supporting the Director of Culinary.

One challenge was recruiting staff to accommodate the opening timeline for the dining room.

Terrific Team

“While opening has been a slow process, with new staff we are moving right along with our phased opening timeline. Though I may be biased, I truly believe we have an effective, efficient, friendly, dedicated to providing wonderful customer service team!”

Residents can expect the deli and restaurant openings to follow on soon. Especially if Clint has any part in making it happen.

“The dining room is open, the beloved full-service ice cream station is operational, the grill area is flaming hot again, and plans of our deli and restaurant openings are in the near future.”

Aside from serving Kendal residents the best food around, he is looking forward to master understanding of budgeting, team training, and customer service optimization.

“I love what I do, and who I do it for. I look forward building relationships with our residents and serving them with exceptional service.”
