November 16, 2020 —The results for the Borden Health Center COVID-19 routine testing from Monday, November 2, have come back negative. Over 100 staff that access the center were tested.
Moving forward, continued COVID-19 testing will be dependent on the county wide infection rate, any positive infection rates here at Kendal, or any COVID-19 exposure events from our staff or residents. If the county infection rate for COVID-19 is less than 5% positivity we will test staff once a month. If the infection rate rises above 5% positivity, testing will occur twice per month to as much as once per week.
To date, no COVID-19 positive cases have occurred among residents of the Borden and Webster Centers. Kendal at Lexington is deeply committed to performing preventative measures like onsite screening and cautionary routine testing for COVID-19.
To further protect our residents and staff from infectious disease, Kendal at Lexington is also providing flu shots free to all staff and encouraging all staff and residents to get vaccinated.
Added 11/16/20- Visitation procedures are changing at the Borden Center. From early on in this pandemic we limited who can visit to direct family members. We realize the uniqueness of the family unit and we can now invite children, adult grandchildren, and their spouses to visit. At this time, we can only have two visitors at once and only one visit per week.
