July 21, 2021 —Danielle comes to Kendal at Lexington with an extensive background in the health care industry. During her tenure she has worked in various areas of nursing, including: home health, cardiac rehabilitation, primary care, pediatrics, education, and public health. From 2010 to 2019, she served Rockbridge County Public Schools as a School Nurse. In this role, Danielle managed the school’s clinic supporting day-to-today clinical operations. She delivered training programs to staff and served as a case manager while advocating for student’s health. Danielle also managed employee health for school employees.
Most recently, Danielle served the greater Rockbridge-Lexington community as a Public Health Nurse for the Virginia Department of Health. In this role, she was the Lead Nurse for programs to include: Communicable Disease, Tuberculosis, Community Outreach, and COVID-19 emergency response. Amid the current health pandemic, Danielle provided COVID-19 guidance, screenings, and vaccinations as well as served as an exemplary liaison for the Virginia Department of Health COVID initiatives, which oversee K-12 & Higher Education institutions and 17 Skilled and Assisted Living Facilities across the Central Shenandoah Health District.
