October 15, 2019 —Another of our brilliant residents has published a book and generously donated it to our Library. Charlotte D. Gunn’s fine, thoughtful novel Ashes of Aerie (Mariner Media, 2014) is now available. With the premise that miscellaneous thoughts written down by an elderly friend can help younger generations find their way in the world, the book introduces us to an interesting assortment of friends, neighbors and relatives.
When you finish this you might want to look up some of the rest of our resident author collection:
- Fiction by Lee Byrd
- Poetry books by Dabney Stuart and John Miller
- Biographical reminiscences by Elinor Denney, Adelaide Simpson, Louis Harlan and Polly Curry
- Non-fiction by Jo McMurtry, Trix Rumford, Cleve Hickman, Jim Morgan, Allan Carlsson
- Biographies of James Thurber by Harrison Kinney, The Lee Girls by Mary Coulling and Booker T. Washington by Louis Harlan.
