Kendal at Lexington has welcomed Brandon Kastner as its new Health Services Administrator. In that position, he will be responsible for ensuring that high-quality health services are provided to residents in the Borden Health Center and Webster Assisted Living Center.
Brandon comes to Kendal at Lexington with more than eight years of experience as a health care administrator with not-for-profit organizations in Indiana and North Carolina. Over the past four years, Brandon served as Associate Executive Director of Presbyterian Homes’ Glenaire Life Plan Community in Cary, North Carolina. In that position, he oversaw the completion of an $8 million renovation of the health center based on the household model, which supports independence for residents and empowers staff to provide person-centered care.
From 2013 to 2016, Brandon was Administrator of Hickory Creek Healthcare Foundation in Huntington, Indiana. While there he supported staff who cared for residents living with mental and physical challenges, established a Music and Memory Program and helped the organization become a regional leader in staff retention, resident satisfaction and census development.
“I am truly blessed to have this wonderful opportunity to be part of the Kendal at Lexington team,” Brandon says. “My family and I look forward to all the wonderful experiences the state of Virginia offers.”
A licensed nursing home administrator, Brandon has a master’s degree in business administration from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana, and a bachelor’s degree in history from Manchester College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated from the LeadingAge North Carolina Leadership Academy in 2018 and is a CARF Surveyor in Training.
