Did you know that falling is NOT a normal part of aging?
Kendal at Lexington is committed to empowering all older adults to age well and stay falls free. We invite residents and the greater Lexington community to join us on Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. in Kendal Hall as KaLex observes Falls Prevention Awareness Day. This is a perfect opportunity for older adults and caregivers in our hometown to learn how to prevent falls and take simple steps to reduce their risk.
During the event, which is open to the public, Mandi McComas, a distinguished registered nurse, former Rockbridge County emergency medical services provider, past director of quality and compliance at KaLex, accomplished public health manager, and certified falls prevention specialist, as our esteemed guest speaker for the event.
After Mandi’s talk, KaLex is excited to host various Lexington community organizations onsite. The community organizations will provide unique perspectives and information to highlight pertinent fall prevention issues and solutions.
For more information about the event, call Danielle Mohler, director of clinical services and nurse manager, at 540.463.1910.
This collaborative effort aims to foster a safer and more informed environment. Let’s stand together in promoting a community that values the health and safety of every individual.
