Karen Jackson Named New Health Services Administrator at Kendal at Lexington

Kendal at Lexington announced that longtime, dedicated leader, Karen Jackson has been selected as Kendal at Lexington’s new Health Services Administrator for the Borden Health Center, Webster Assisted Living and the Health Clinic.  Jackson’s first day in the new role was June 11.

Jackson previously served for almost 9 years in various roles for Kendal at Lexington (KaLex), and most recently as the Director of Resident Services and Program Management. Her responsibilities included overseeing the provision of social services, the Health & Wellness Program, and the IT Department. She also served as the Compliance and Privacy Official and the Risk Manager.

A licensed nursing home administrator, Jackson has a Master of Business Administration from
Averitt University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Longwood University. She is also a Certified Professional in Aging Services Risk Management (CPASRM).

As Health Services Administrator, Jackson will have the primary responsibility of planning, organizing, and supervising the delivery of care to residents in Kendal at Lexington’s long-term care centers.  This includes leading the Borden Health Center, Webster Assisted Living Center, the new Health Clinic and services and programs provided to residential residents. She will also serve as a key member of the Core  Leadership Team for the organization supporting strategic planning, project management, and emergency preparedness, among other things.
