Lifelong
Learning Opportunities
Through our older years
we never stop learning and growing. Our location in the college
town of Lexington makes it easy for residents to find opportunities for lifelong
learning.
Washington
and Lee University allows residents to audit college classes.
Residents must obtain permission from the professor. The
W&L library is available to residents as well. The Lenfest
Center offers a full schedule of concerts, plays and student performances.
Virginia
Military Institute offers residents access to lectures and
programs by internationally known speakers as well as student
performances.
Dabney
S. Lancaster Community College offers classes in Rockbridge
County that are both credit and non-credit courses with a variety
of topics.
Natural Bridge
Inn and Conference Center hosts a number of Elderhostels each year.
Kendal residents have developed their own
Kendal
College. These classes may be taught by local professors
and sometimes by residents themselves.
Residents also have access to the
Rockbridge
Regional Library.
